I was sorting my tiny sea glass gems this morning when I spotted 5 of them lying in a row and thought - yay! these would make a lovely charm bracelet and so I set to work matching, then drilling, and attaching and I've even got enought to keep me busy tomorrow too!
Yay! The Blog is back! It's been nearly a year since I last posted and a lot has happened in that time. My website and Etsy shop have been ultra busy, I'm now selling on Amazon as a Prime Seller and my Etsy shop The Strandline Finds (selling beachcombing finds) is stocked and doing very well.
I was going to do some gardening today but the weather put paid to that with grey skies and rain for most of the day so I went into the studio to make bangles and boy did I make some :) The photo shows the bangles, which are sterling silver, being lightly hammered to give them some texture and shine. Tomorrow I'll add a tree of life or a starfish charm to each one (which will be soldered, so no more lost charms) and polished ready for sale.
These are what the bangles will look like when they are finished...
On Monday I thought I'll get back on my blog in earnest and start with 'Today I'll be making', but here we are on Thursday and I'm just posting the makes today !! I'll definitely get more organised and post regularly to keep you up to date with what's going on in my studio :)
Below is a pic of what was on my bench on Monday - cast sterling silver cockle shells just back from my casting service - 12 tiny and 12 medium all ready to be sanded, soldered and polished. The tiny ones will be attached to delicate bracelets and drop earrings and the medium ones to chunky bracelets and possibly necklaces.
Today I have been making sea glass and suede wrap bracelets for my summer collection. The bracelets are made with 3mm faux suede or suede and sea glass in a variety of colours and beach pottery mainly in blue and white. These bracelets will make you stand out and highlight your individual style, perfect for Spring/Summer.
